This is a charity event, with all money raised going to support the trust at Apedale mine, keeping the history of Stoke on Trent open for generations to come.

This was the must do, sell out location of 2023, it's a must for any ghost hunter and urban explorer.

For an unusual and unique visit to Apedale Heritage Center join us as we undertake a Paranormal Investigation of the museum and an Underground Paranormal Investigation of the Drift Mine.

Apedale is one of only a few mines in the UK that is open to the public. It is run solely by volunteers and relies heavily on donations. By attending this investigation, you will be contributing towards preserving Staffordshire’s Past for the Future.

The mine once employed around 140 men and is the last mine in North Staffordshire that coal was drawn from.
As with most mines in the UK; Apedale has been the scene of some tragic events including explosions and inrushes of water & blackdamp.

This is your opportunity to investigate some of the unusual experiences people have reported.

Apedale is one of those locations that just keeps giving, strange lights being seen in the mine, disembodied voices are heard coming from disused areas of this massive tunnel network, lights turning on and off in the museum, objects being throw... And this is just walking into the location, this is a must do location and should be on everyone's bucket list

You must be aged 18 or over to attend this event and Terms & Conditions Apply.

Please only purchase tickets to this event if you are fit and able-bodied as this investigation involves a great deal of walking in accessing the various areas for investigation in the mine. We also advise that you wear warm, comfortable clothing and suitable footwear that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Before this event, there will be a health and safety talk given by your event host. All guests must attend this before they can enter the mine.

Your Event

Paranormal Investigations with the Ghost Academy guys have always been a little bit different, like most teams out there you will get full access to the building or location. We will take our time to show you all the kit you are going to need for the night and teach you all the techniques we use as investigators.

We have a massive range of kit, and you will be able to access all of it during the night. Our team of investigators will be on hand during the night to show you how to use the equipment and make sure you get the most from your evening.

We only sell limited tickets to our events, this means you get the most from your night. Being able to access areas in small groups, or if you are brave enough spending some time on your own, just you a 2-way radio and the kit of your choice.

The Ghost Academy events are known for being fun, interactive, and just that little bit special.

Our team are all experienced investigators who have spent years working within the paranormal field.

Your Night Includes

-Work in small and personal groups

- Take part in activities such as glass divination, ouija boards, and table tipping

- Full use of our ghost hunting equipment such as EMF devices, EVP recorders, and Spirit Boxes

- The chance to conduct a lone vigil for the very brave
